Nissan 370Z, a Baby GT-R

Nissan 370Z, a Baby GT-R is born.
Equipped with better material and better built, the new 370Z has nothing to be ashamed of compared to other sports car manufacturers like Porsche for example.

Specs & Tech
Under the bonnet you will find the usual Nissan V6, but here as well reworked and retuned to offer 17 more HP than on the previous 350Z. Jumping from 3.5Lto 3.7L with now 332Hp with a red line at 6500rpm, our new Z is capable of achieving 0 to 100 (Naught to Sixty) in just 5.1 sec… Pretty descent spec and time for a car that just coasts around 44 000 € in Europe!

With all these in mind we decided then to give our car a Try and we would like to express our gratitude here to Nissan France for giving us almost a week to fully enjoy this new 370Z.

We already knew that this new Z had nothing in common with its predecessor, and Nissan France insisted on underlining this fact, and oh boy they were right!
Faster, Sharper and more demanding that its fat sister ,the 370Z is utterly a new sports machine.
Better stuck to the road, easy to drive in general, the Nissan 370Z gave us a new idea of what a compact sports car should be, or I dare to say MUST be… And here I am afraid; Porsche has a lot to learn in order for its Cayman or Cayman S to match Nissan’s 370Z’s pleasure of driving and performance.
We will even go further to compare by saying the 370Z has a mini GT-R when it comes to raw power and sports driving pleasure.
More accessible thanks to its new automatic heel-and-toe mode on the 6 speed manual gearbox version, better known as SynchroRev Match that will automatically blip the throttle during downshifts eliminating the need to heel-and-toe downshift. Our new 370Z can unveil the “pilot” in you without the needs to spend hours or even years to perfect the art of heel-and-toeing. Yes, the 370Z is a fun car to drive and even more fun when you know how to handle this beast.

Aston Martin plans to sell Sports Cars in India

Aston Martin DB4 the first truly modern Aston sports car
The very popular Aston Martin DB4 was the first truly modern Aston sports car.
Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, a luxury sports car maker based in Britain has been looking for the Indian market for pushing its growth story. Speaking from Aston Martin's headquarters in Warwickshire, a company spokesperson, confirmed, "We are actively looking at the Indian market."

It is, however, to be decided about the models the company plans to launch in India. The company is also learnt to be in discussions with dealers but no final choice has been made yet.

India remained a favorite destination for various luxury cars given to its financially strong upper class and better economic prospectus. Auto companies performed well in the Indian market despite slowdown as sales of BMW India Pvt. Ltd and Audi India reported an increase of 28 per cent and 61 per cent respectively selling 2,627 units and 977 units respectively.

Deepesh Rathore, Managing Director with business analysts IHS Global Insight said, "The luxury car market is tilted to fresh arrivals as the buyer in this segment is always looking for exclusivity. Hence there will always be potential for a new player entering the market."

Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4

With the Vantage GT4, Aston Martin has devoted even greater resources toward developing an Aston Martin track car model available as a total package to the consumer in order to compete in private racing series worldwide. The Aston Martin Vantage GT4 replaces Aston's previous privateer racing offering, the Vantage N24, and not only is the car in line with the newly updated Vantage, but provides some serious track cred for the serious papered pseudo-professional race car driver.

A Vantage N24 won the overall crown at this year's 24 Hours Nurburgring, so Aston buyers can shell out a base price of £96,645, or US$145,000 at current exchange rates, with confidence that they are getting a track-proven machine. GT4 changes over the standard V8 Vantage include weight savings of an incredible 300 kg, which starts with stripping out the heavy luxury interior trimmings that make the standard Vantage so desirable.

The Vantage GT4 is available with conventional manual or a paddle-shifted "Sportshift" clutchless manual. Aston has also decided to include a full host of babysitting features, including the same traction and stability control systems fitted to the standard Vantage. Perhaps this speaks to the true market for an Aston Martin track-spec car, but the N24's recent pedigree shows that this factory racer is extremely capable in the hands of the right driver and team.

Factory options include an enduro-ready 31.7 gallon fuel tank cell, a passenger seat and harness system, and air conditioning. Air conditioning?

The Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will be available worldwide in January for £96,645. Not bad for a complete race car package, but don't expect to be driving this thing on public roads, air conditioning aside.

THE RUMOUR MILL is alive again with talk of a BMW Vision EfficientDynamics inspired sports car. New reports out of the US this morning claim BMW is targeting a 2013 launch date for its plug-in hybrid sports car.

According to US auto site InsideLine, BMW is developing a roadgoing version of the concept - first revealed in September last year - with a limited run of around 5000 to 10,000 units.

While earlier reports suggested a conventional turbo-charged petrol engine would provide motivation, an “executive source” reportedly told InsideLine that the new model will remain true to its hybrid roots.
